You can hop on a glass-bottom boat and see vibrant coral reefs without getting wet. “While you’re on the boat, you’ll also have the chance to spot a variety of marine life, including graceful sea turtles and colorful fish species.” It’s a really beautiful and relaxing experience!

the 2004 tsunami caused significant damage to the coral reefs in the Hikkaduwa area and other parts of the coast. Over the years, there have been efforts to restore and rehabilitate these reefs, and today, some areas have shown remarkable recovery.
